General Donations 

One hundred percent of donations to the Parent Resource Centre are used to support children and families directly, and your General Donations allow PRC to direct your support to the areas where it is needed most. 

 

You can make a one-time donation, or you may choose to donate monthly. 

 

For example, you can schedule your donation for the same day every month through our  PRC Donations Page  at CanadaHelps.org, and all your tax receipts will be electronically available in one convenient location. 

 

Directed Donations 

If you would like to make a Directed Donation, PRC can work with you to identify PRC program areas that are in-line with your values/interests, and you can choose how you would like to support us. Some of our program areas include: 

• Children’s early learning program (eg. toys, gross motor and play centred toys, art supplies) 

• Indoor and outdoor play spaces 

• Circle of Security® Parenting™ Group 

• In-Home Parenting Support Program 

• Parent Support Line  

• Holiday hampers for vulnerable client families 

 

In-Kind Donations 

The PRC is very grateful to receive select In-Kind Donations from individuals, businesses and service groups.  These donations help offset our program costs and add more value to the experiences we offer our children and families. PRC keeps an active Wishlist on Amazon so that our supporters know what we are in need of - and can easily order and send items that are needed right away.

 

Being able to help supply some basics when our families are in need, makes it much easier for them to fully participate in our programming.  If you have an item or services that you would like to offer PRC please contact information@parentresource.ca

We are currently seeking the following In-Kind Donations:

 

• New toys and parenting books (eg. quality wooden, Montessori based, gross and fine motor skills, outdoor toys) 

• Books on parenting (no older than 5 years) (incl. adoption, 2SLGBTQI+, identity and gender, attachment, neurodiversity, postpartum, birthing, breastfeeding, cookbooks etc.) 

• Gift Cards (e.g., Giant Tiger, Loblaws, Metro, Walmart)

If you would like to make an In-Kind Donation, please contact us at 613-565-2467 prior to drop off to make sure that someone is on-site to accept your donation, and that it suits our current needs.  

 

We are not able to accept all In-Kind Donations currently as our space is very limited!

Become an Incredible Playgroup Supporter! 

Incredible Playgroup Supporters help us to build positive, healthy, engaging opportunities for local families year over year. Your generous gift of $50 a month – or any amount you can afford – will provide us with ongoing support for our playgroups and ensures that we can continue to help the greatest number of parents to build resilient families across the Ottawa region.

Host a Fundraising Event 

Hosting a fundraising event is a fun and engaging way to spread awareness of the PRC’s work in the community.
