Circle of Security ® Parenting ™: Parent Support & Education Groups
The Circle of Security® Parenting™ Group (COS-PG) is an 8-week online program for parents with children aged 0-18. This program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. You can learn more about The Circle of Security®â€¯here.

During the COS-PG you will learn to:

-
Explore the concept of being available for your children’s emotions.
-
Explore healthy ways to develop your child’s self-esteem.
-
Support your child’s ability to successfully manage challenging behaviors.
-
Understand how relationships with children can be repaired.
-
Take an active approach to supporting your own needs and your child's.

Using the COSP™ model, the Parent Resource Centre’s trained facilitators work closely with parents and caregivers to help them explore being available and open to their child’s(ren) emotions and how to understand their behaviour as a form of communication.

The COS-PG teaches parents and caregivers ways to support their children’s emotions especially when it causes them to feel uncomfortable, anxious or overwhelmed. Additionally, it focuses on how to foster a secure, loving, trusting relationship between parent and child(ren).
Our workshops run in the Spring, Fall and Winter months. If you are interested in joining our Circle of Security Parenting Group or are a professional referring a family, please refer to the in-take form or reach out for more information:
