Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at the Parent Resource Centre. Our volunteers’ dedication, reliability and skills are the keys to our success. Our volunteers are valued for their essential role in serving Ottawa families and the children that they care for.
VOLUNTEER ROLES AT PRC:

EarlyON Playgroup Volunteer: Assist PRC staff with set-up and clean-up of the EarlyON playgroup, greet families and children and register their attendance, facilitate during playgroups.

Toy & Parent Resource Library Volunteer: Greet families accessing toy and parent resource libraries; check in/out toys and resources, maintain accurate records and accounts of resources; helps with cleaning toys and library organization and maintenance.

Children’s Literacy Volunteer: Participates in story time, reading, and related playgroup activities.

Office Support Volunteer: Support administrative activities such as for events, fundraisers, community presentations, and other general office duties.

Corporate Volunteers: Looking to volunteer together with your work colleagues? PRC often has larger volunteer jobs that are idea for corporate volunteer days... all you need to do is ask!

Community Event Volunteers: Assist PRC staff at various community events including pre-planning, community outreach and supporting event logistics (incl. set-up and tear-down) as needed; represent the PRC by answering questions and providing information to community members; events could take place throughout the Greater Ottawa area.
STUDENT PLACEMENTS
PRC offers student placement opportunities at any time throughout the year and within our EarlyON program and Family Resilience Program. To inquire about completing a co-op or student placement with us please contact us at information@parentresource.ca.
