At 14:00, join Boyd Laanstra—a design lead on the new vertical $10—for a fascinating hour-long presentation: a behind-the-scenes look at the visual and thematic development of the new $10 bank note featuring Viola Desmond.
Following the presentation from 15:00 to 18:00, bring your $10 bank notes and exchange them for crisp, new, uncirculated vertical $10 bank notes.
Build-a-Brick of Tea Workshop – February 9 and 10
In brick form, tea was once the currency of much of Asia. See how tea bricks were made and then make your own tea brick. At 11:00 and 14:00, there are two 1-hour workshops you can attend with a maximum of 25 participants each.
Trading Fur – February 16, 17 and 18
From 10:00 to 17:00, warm up with cedar tea while trapper and Métis educator Archie Martin presents his collection of trapping artifacts and furs. Handle some of the genuine articles yourself.
