Join us Tuesdays at the Parent Resource Centre in July- August and explore the many benefits of using American Sign Language with your baby.
Teaching your baby American Sign Language can help develop early communication skills, encourage social and emotional bonding, and reduce difficult behaviours. Come learn and practice some basic American Sign Language in a fun and welcoming environment.
Our introductory baby sign class for parents and their babies helps babies learn to communicate their needs before their language is fully developed. They can learn to tell you when they are hungry, if they are finished their activity, if they want milk, if it is too hot, or if their tummy hurts. You might be surprised what they have to say!
When: Program runs on Tuesdays for 6 weeks from July 16th – August 20th
Where: Parent Resource Centre
Who: Program is targeted for parents with children 4 – 14 months of age.
Adding sign language to your parenting toolbox can bring you and your child closer together, helping everyone feel less frustrated and more understood.
This course is free, but requires registration.
A waitlist is also being created.
