Paula Coons

Paula started her career in financial management over 25 years ago and, soon after, moved to the non-profit sector where she recognized the difference her contributions could make in the community.  Her journey took her to the Parent Resource Centre in 2018 where she fell in love with the children, laughter and music she hears almost every day.  Throughout her career, Paula has managed a variety programs including Education, Youth Engagement, Corporate Volunteerism and Volunteer Recruitment and Retention.   She has developed and delivered multiple workshops with a focus on financial management, reporting, excel, and tech tips & tricks. Paula volunteers as one of Volunteer Ottawa’s Professional Development Facilitators and has a passion for spreading the word about volunteerism.  She also volunteers as a Board Member, Warden and Marketing Coordinator for the Nation Valley ATV Club. Paula lives in the country, not far from Ottawa, and loves to be around family and friends.  When not at work, she spends her time ATVing, camping and reading.
