Janice Remai

Vice-President

Janice Remai was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, moving to Ottawa most recently in 2010. She has a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan. Janice has worked as a management consultant for over 30 years, focusing on social research and program evaluation. Her research examined areas such as public health programming, science and technology grants and justice interventions.

Janice is a strong believer that ensuring that children and youth have opportunities to thrive is one of the best investments our community can make. As a member and volunteer at playgroups in Saskatoon during her early parenting years, she saw the importance of play, as well as the value of the sharing and friendships among the parents/caregivers in the group. She is pleased to join the PRC board to support its mission and goals.

Now mostly retired and with two grown children in post-secondary school, Janice can be found in the garden, enjoys travel and is an avid walker and reader.
