Temitope Akintunde

Director

Dr. Temitope Akintunde is a global health and development expert with over 15 years experience in designing and managing large-scale health initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. She brings her expertise in public health programming, strategic planning, policy development, capacity building, operations, and grant management to the board.


Temitope is a mother of two wonderful boys and is passionate about improving the lives of children and their families. She has led various public health initiatives including those that directly affect children. Her work spans nutrition, maternal and child health, immunization, public health supply chain, and health systems strengthening. She has worked across a variety of organizations in the private and non-profit sectors within and outside Canada, including McKinsey & Company and The World Bank Group.


Temitope holds a first degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Lagos State University, Nigeria and a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University. She hopes to apply her skills and knowledge in supporting the mission and vision of the Parent Resource Centre.
