As part of our Family Resilience Program (FRP), the Parent Resource Centre is pleased to be able to offer a variety of Parent Support & Education workshops throughout the year, delivered in a group setting.  At PRC, we believe that parents are the experts on their own children, but need a circle of support to feel empowered – so that they may continue to grow and learn with their children in a community that fosters strong relationships, health and wellness.

We are currently offering our Circle of Security support & education group: an evidence-based workshop series designed to strengthen attachment and relationships in the parent-child dyad in order to support better outcomes for families.  In this group, parents have opportunities to learn to:

  • Support their child’s emotional world and cues;
  • Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions;
  • Enhance the development of their child’s self esteem;
  • Honour their child’s innate wisdom and desire for security.

PRC strives to provide inclusive programs that reduce barriers by offering childcare whenever possible, along with access to our emergency Baby Cupboard (as needed).
